So I’m in Nida now, on a narrow strip of land called the Curonian Spit, on the Lithuanian coast.I’m here for a 2-month residency at the Nida Art Colony. The primary idea is to work on my MA thesis, which is about curatorial residencies. This way, I will have personal experience of my subject matter, which is nice. This residency also allows me to focus in a way Helsinki (my home town) wouldn’t. Less distractions here. My restless energies can’t disperse as much. This is a place of peace, an island away from the hassle. A possibility to become new, more together, more at peace. That’s how I feel now, anyway. Cheers.-T
